Fred couldn't stand still. He received an owl not very long ago from Fay Swane; the girl was to come and visit his family for Christmas. She was not to spend all of their holidays here, just a day, maybe two if he worked well. He told his mother he was expecting someone to come share their meal together. Hermione was here of course, but her mood along with his young brother's was not the best, due to the loss of their friend Harry. It was sad and the entire household felt it, so he thought having the girl come might cheer them up a little, fill the empty chair at the table.
He told her not to dress like any normal people, that she could come with her every day clothes. Or that sexy goth dress she had on their last day of school before the holidays. Her little exploit had been related in every way possible at the Burrows. Fred wasn't sure how his mother would react to have her around. Molly was not the kind to be cold toward people, but her look and mischievous attitude might place the woman in an uncomfortable situation. Anyway, Fred was sure they'd have fun. He'd give her a tour of the house and its outskirts, showing the woods and the clearing where they played quidditch, the small frozen river. Small indeed, he had water up to his knees but still he could show it. And, why not, the chicken hen and garden now frozen under the snow. He bet she had never seen chicken in real.
Molly forced everyone to dress on as formal as possible. Fred and George wore the clothes they put on during the ball last year, it was what they had that fit 'formal' the most.He didn't tell anyone if it was a girl or a boy. Molly thought that it perhaps was Lee Jordan, their friends. Hermione and Ginny claimed it was fay, although they did not know her name. Hermione said so because, after what the girl had done, she bet Fred wanted to know more about her. Ginny, because she saw them together once. Fred didn't tell who was right, he simply said it would make sensation around here. Charlie had come for Christmas, as well as Bill, so she'd see everyone... well everyone of importance. Who needed to meet a prick like Percy anyway?

Fay grinned as she got out of her father’s magical car. He was the one who gave her a lift to the Burrows, or more like to the Weasley place. She walked out of the car, shoving her guitar on one of her shoulder (she brought it in case someone would ask her a song request for she knew that a few of his siblings went to school) and also some muffins she baked herself for the family; it was her way to thank them for greeting her…and also test her new food! The mix? Canberries, chocolate and pears. At first, the mix would sound weird, but it really tasted good (her father tasted it). She even took the tame to get them into Christmas tree shapes for the occasion!
She hopped towards the door and press on the door ring, her father waited in the car, making sure she would get inside before going and also he was sort of curious to see who it was. Looking at him, you would be totally sure that it was Fay’s father. Having spiky black hair, piercings here and there and probably more tattoos than the girl would ever have. She was the friendly Goth female version of his father.
She hummed to herself as she waited for someone to open it. Meanwhile, Ron perked his head up, even though he was still depressed for Harry not being here, he still was curious about whom Fred brought this time. Ginny was rather eager though still expected it to be Fay along with Hermione who both betted it was her. Fay thought it was rather exciting to wonder about who would greet her.

When the doorbell rang, everyone in the house wanted to open the door. Well, they could care less about the door, all they wanted was to see who rang. Fred pushed them all away. He thought they would have done so and therefore had stayed by the door to be the one to open. When they argue or tried to take a peek, Fred maintained that it was his guest, hence he had to open the door. He still took some time, just to see them squirm. Already Ron had ran to the living room's window to check. "It's a girl... I think" he said to the others. Fred sighed, his brother could be stupid some times. I think.
He finally opened to her. He grinned seeing her hands full with a plate. And she even brought her guitar! That might be fun, although he believed a censored version of her song would be best for his mother's ears. "Come in." he said as he moved to let her in. Everyone was now in the entrance, watching at the newcome. Hermione and Ginny had a little know-it-all expression, claiming 'I told you so' with their faces. Fred introduced his family to Fay one by one before concluding with: "Everyone, thsi is Fay Swane."
"Fred, you should help her instead of just talking." Molly exclaimed as she took the girl's plate from her hands. She ahd yet noticed any tattoos, nor the clothes under the thick winter coat. "Nice to see you dear, I'm glad to meet a friend of my sons." Fred doubted that to be true, at least not from her twin sons. But he didn't reply, no matter how funny his mother's face might be. Ginny took Fay's guitar and went with it to the living room with his father, wondering if it was muggle-made or not. "Welcome to the Weasleys." Fred said Fay with a smirk.

Fay waited still for the door to be opened but she could hear the rushing and the commotion after she pressed on the door bell. She found it rather amusing and thus made her smile even more than she was right now. She waved at her father as the door opened and he waved back at her. “See you later little Dada!” He mused loud enough for everyone to hear. She chuckled glancing as he drove away and returned her attention to Fred who was greeting her. “Hi there! Thought you would miss me.” She said jokingly rather surprised at the welcoming party she was having. The entire family (or almost) was there. Their parties must be so much fun! Not to add that their family had something hers didn’t have that much, well, when you were having those parties. Only her father seemed to show these warm and welcoming ‘vibrations’. She waved at everyone once presented her. “I see I am increasing the number of females in this household!” She exclaimed with a smile. She smiled at Molly who was so nice to everyone and mostly to her, letting her take the plate with the homemade muffins. “It’s a little something I prepared, as a thank you for greeting me, should be enough for everyone!” she added wanting to reassure the poor woman who would probably have a spasm when she sees her outfit. She let Ginny take her guitar (though it was an acoustic one, she didn’t want to scare Fred’s mother for the rest of her life...at least, not now) and took off her hat, revealing a new hairstyle of hers; two small bunds at the top of her head. She then took off her coat to reveal a bright red and black Goth-lolita dress she was careful also not to show too much of her tattoo. She would let them discover hers at the same time as Fred...depending on where they were of course. No matter how intimidating it could be to be surrounded by so many people, Fay felt comfortable. Anyways, she was weirder than most of people you’d see so... Outfit: click!

Fred took a sniff out of her muffin as his mother left with them in the kitchen with a "Oh you shouldn't have" typical of the woman. He raised an eyebrow at the buns on her head. That was new although in the same time not so different from her usual hairdo. He grinned as he saw the dress though. He wondered where she got dresses like those. Sexy, gothic, with a lot more red than last time he saw her but still quite nice. He did not look but he could feel his older brothers' gaze on her and their surprise about her look. "Why am I surprised you pick someone different than anyone else." Charlie said before going to the living room.
Fred grinned more at the comment and brought her to the living room as well. He noticed that the dress hid most of her tattoos but he still got a view of the top of her cross on her back. That was perhaps more provocative to him than any deep cleavage, for all he wanted was to pull down the back of ehr dress a bit to see it entirely. Not in a pervert way, he wouldn't look at her ass - well just a little.
"Meal will be served in about ten minutes." his mother said as she went to the living where everybody was. She stood there, watching her son friend's attire. That sure was different and even though Molly was not the type to stop at appearances, it didn't mean those differences could not shock her a bit. Seeing she was staring for a while without a word, she shook her head quickly and smiled to Fay. "Nice dress and thank you for the muffins, we'll take them with the dessert." she said before returning to the kitchen.

As soon as Fay stepped into the house, she knew she would love being there, which was going to be great. There were never too many people for their mother was often out for work and her father well, she had a great time with him, and he even called her ‘mini self’ but hey, she still wished she could have some quality time with her family like they seemed to have often. She didn’t envy them though, she liked her situation as well, she just wished to see her family more often and close but she knew that every family wasn’t the same. Ah well, enough thinking, it was time to have fun with the red haired population!
She blinked hearing someone speaking about difference. Uh? Seeing Charlie she grinned. “I like your look and yours too, it’s very cool!” She pointed him as well as Bill the oldest she presumed. She then returned her attention to Molly as she spoke and smiled at the woman. “Thank you, it wasn’t a problem at all, I like to cook here and there~” She said happily. Their house was so cool, she knew she would enjoy every minute she would spend here with Fred and the rest of his family. As Molly left, she decided to peek in the living room to see who was there, trying to see if she recognized other faces.
She remembered the curly haired girl and Fred’s younger brother, she remembered they also lost their friend Harry Potter. Poor them, it mustn’t be one of their most joyful Christmas at all. She hoped they would cheer up over the day. She then noticed Fred’s father gazing at her guitar, he asked her if it was muggle made. She grinned at him. “Of course! They make the best products when it comes to instruments!”She exclaimed. Who would’ve thought that someone else had a muggle fascination too! “I could play you a song if you want!”

"You hear that Charlie, we're cool. Not bad for a banker huh?" Bill said after Fay mentioned she liked their style. Fred chuckled. Some banker his brother was with his low ponytail and his earing made out of a snake's fang. No matter what day it was, who he was meeting, Bill always had his ponytail and his sanke fang's earring, to Molly's dismay. Poor woman, still trying to have him cut his hair.
"I didn't know you cook," Fred said as Fay replied to Molly. "Talk of a boyfriend!" Charlie replied teasingly. Fred pushed his brother gently and the two faked a fight for a moment, although their big grins showed they didn't mean to hurt one another. As Fay spoke to his father about muggle-made objects, he and his brother George let out together. "Another one." Yes, another one now was muggle crazy. Already Arthur was impressed and full of questions about muggle instruments and so on, ready to speak them. Fred stopped him though, if their mother was to hear, she'd tell ehr husband to shut up and let their guest breathe a little. You and your love for muggle stuff! Yeah, she'd probably say something like that. "After diner maybe, then I'll give you a tour of the place if you want." Fred told Fay, trying to ignore his older siblings commenting about this tour. They had a lot of fun teasing him about how he probably wanted to show his room more than anything else and how their mother would react to it. It was kind of a sweet revenge for Bill and Charlie, a little payback time for all the jokes and pranks Fred and hsi twin pulled on them. But it was not done with a cruel intent and Fred just played the game with them. It was good to have his siblings back for Christmas, and after not seeing for an entire year, it was almost an obligation to tease each other.

Fay grinned and laughed lightly. They sure had the spirit! She had a feeling that she would love spending time with his entire family. She then smirked at Fred’s words. “There’s many things you still don’t know about me, Fred.” She mused teasingly knowing that it would result into having his brother picking on him. Any other girl would be shy with all the comments they gave and her smirk only grew wilder as they mentioned the word boyfriend. Oh? “I have the status of Fred’s girlfriend? Should I be glad or freak out?”
“Fred snores when he sleeps.” Ginny pointed out with a smile. Apparently, someone else was having the spirit! She liked! “And his feet stinks...” Ron added which surprised Fay a little since he seemed to be gloomy when she first walked in the house. “Don’t worry, I’m immunised against these, thanks to my twin.” She blinked as they seemed to be surprised to the fact that she was also having a twin. Ah well, that affected everyone the same way it seemed. Not like she minded it much.

At what she told him, his brothers only teased him harder, shaking him around, dirty jokes going on until their father asked politely yet with an amused smile for them to let their younger brother go. Bill did with a laugh and messing up with Fred’s hair. Fred grinned as she asked if she should be afraid about being his girlfriend. He doubted many things could scare the girl and definitely not him. Hell, for many she was probably even scarier than he was!
Before he could say anything, his baby sister maintained that he snored and then Ron said his feet were stinking. He rolled his eyes at his brother’s comment and shook his head for everyone. “You got the twins mixed up again. I’m the one who smells subliminally of peaches and never goes to the toilets.” he replied jokingly, making George this time giving the shoving. Fred laughed some.
Everyone seemed surprised she had a twin. “Are we gonna have a double marriage?” Charlie asked to Bill. Fred chuckled, turning to them. “Not unless my brother suddenly got a liking for male snakes.” he replied for which George let out a loud “Eww!” which once again made everyone laugh.
“Diner’s ready!” their mother let out from the kitchen. Still quite jolly, Fred grabbed Fay’s arm and directed her to the kitchen/dining room part of the house. He got her sit between him and his twin which his mother didn’t seem entirely safe about. But too bad, they were placed now and soon everyone sat down, Molly putting the plates in the middle of the table, everyone fighting for them as they served themselves.

Fay chuckled as the siblings seemed to pregnant dog Fred a bit. She knew of course, that it was only by teasing manners. He had an amazing family and she was found of it in all honesty. They reminded her of the relationship she was having with her father. She was so close to him, it was almost unbelievable. It was almost as if, the father could be mistaken as her twin and not Alyx. She grinned at the thought and soon followed Fred to the kitchen as Molly claimed that the diner was ready. It smelled good, which only made her smile bigger.
The comment about her twin brother made her smirk especially seeing George’s reaction. She knew that Alyx could be a jerk sometimes but he could as well be nice- though those moments were rare.
“I never ate with so many people before it’s great!” she said with a small laugh. After all, even her Christmas family reunion wasn’t as fun as it was. They were a few cousins, hanging out and that was about it. Sure they chatted and had fun here and there but not as much as the Weasley family had. She was happy to be introduced to the family and that they seemed to accept her so easily.
She gazed at the various plates, which they all looked delicious; she grabbed some food here and there and put it in hers. She wasn’t picky at all with food because after all; she was making strange one as well! She did bring them a little muffin surprise to taste! She was eager to see what they’d think of these.

Everything seemed to go so well. Sure, Percy declined their invitation. He had more important things to do, apparently. Not that he cared. Too bad for the prick, he hurt everyone enough already. He made their mother cry, called Harry an insane and dangerous man, sticking to his position even now, and saying that the minister was the one right, that there was no such thing as the dark lord’s comeback. Yeah, right! But he shoved the gloomy thoughts of his brother and the loss of Potter far away in his mind. It was a beautiful evening that he meant to spend with his family and Fay. She was so gorgeous in her own way, completely independent and not like the other girls one bit. Probably what caught his attention in the first place.
Fay was eager to eat and took a bit of everything, Fred following her on most of her picks. “Well, at least they got the same tastes.” Bill said, which made Charlie laugh and nearly choked with his food. “You’re just jealous you’ve got no girl like that to present to the family.” Fred replied, refraining from sticking his tongue. Bill chuckled. “Not exactly. I have a girl, I just didn’t bring her.” Suddenly, the conversation went on that subject; who was she, when would we meet her. Fred and George tried to picture her, some banker girl - Bill told them he met her at work - with a snake earring fetish. Bill refused to tell too much, saying he’d wait for it to be official and serious before bringing her. But that stopped none of them to tease him about it.

Fay grinned at Bills’ comment and laughed at what Fred said. The more time she spent with them, the more she loved being in their company. They were all so charming in their different ways. She loved this. Whenever she would have her first show, she would gladly have them all in her VIP list, no exception, well, maybe Percy but even still, she didn’t know him yet and how he truly was so why not invite him too? “I am far from being picky on food.” She replied with a wide grin.
She didn’t say more though, not wanting to ruin the surprise of her muffins. It was going to be up to them to find out and tell her if she had talent or not into baking. Her father loved tasting her things, but she always loved to have new people to test her things!
She chuckled silently as she listened to the family while they talked to Bill, as he mentioned that he was seeing a girl at the moment. Oh? She was happy for him and was as eager as the rest of the family to meet them all. Besides, he was one cool Weasley with his outfit, as well as Charlie seemed as bold as she was with her clothes. At least, that way she knew that they wouldn’t judge her on her clothes. She enjoyed eating the food in the meanwhile, mentally agreeing on the fact that Molly was a great cook, she would have to tell her later on.

When she talked of food Fred had a smirk. He knew her love of mixing weird things together. For most, he wasn’t so sure about it. Yogurt in hamburger? That seemed a little bit extreme. Replacing the pasta sauce for fruit salad though was a nice idea. It made him curious about her muffins she just baked. “What are your muffins at?” he asked, his mouth half-full. Molly asked him not to eat with a full mouth and Fred replied, placing a hand over his mouth since it was still not empty. “Sorry mum.” which only made her sigh and shake his head while everyone snickered or smiled at it. They all had good manners, they just didn’t like using them all the times.
Most of the diner continued with that same spirit, asking Charlie about his dragons and any lover. He once again said he understood dragons more than women. One of those comments that made Fred believes he was gay. Not that he’d mind, he loved his big brother. They all had a substantial appetite and once Fred was full enough to have place for the desserts, he pushed his plate with a sigh of satisfaction. “That was good, mum.” he said to Molly, everyone agreeing in one way or another, Arthur kissing his wife. Molly blushed some and asked for Fred and George to help out take everyone’s plate plus what was on the table so they could put the desserts now.
He stood and did as his mother asked, taking the plates manually and not using magic. Not like it was necessary plus it was an exercise to build up the appetite for the cake and Fay’s muffins. They put everything on the table and Fred was amazed by her creation. “Wow, even in the shapes of trees, look at that.” he said as he pulled out one.

Fay grinned wildly as Fred questioned her about her muffins. Did he think that she would give it away? She wanted to make a surprise and Fred was certainly not to find out that easily! She chuckled for a few second before looking at him grinning. “I’m not telling until you all taste these.” She mused with a smirk playing onto her lips.
The rest of the diner went by rather nicely. She had the feeling that she would love coming to Fred’s home often. She knew as soon as Molly greeted her, that she was going to be like family to them. She was rather happy about it and they were proving it already while sharing a meal with them. She couldn’t hide that she used to be nervous a bit about it before coming to visit him but she soon relax in their companies, feeling welcomed as she should be. She was hoping that Fred would be as much at ease whenever he’d come to visit hers.
She smiled at the thought and soon they finished the meal. “I loved your food Miss Weasley.” She said with a grin as she pushed her plate too. She waited and chuckled as Fred had to stand up and help Molly to pick up the plates, the utensils and so on, cleaning it away so the deserts could come. She laughed as he commented her muffins.
“That’s great isn’t it? I thought I would bring a bit of Christmas spirit while creating these!” She said with a small laugh. “I promise there isn’t anything odd in this recipe” she finished with a smirk eager to see what he would think of it.

Fred chuckled when she refused to tell him what her muffins were made of. He’d have the surprise in time. And the time had come now to taste them as he showed its tree shape to everybody. Molly was quite happy that this newcomer liked her food and thanked her for those nice words. Molly had placed the Christmas log and an ice cream cake for everyone to enjoy as well as the muffins. Fay promised there was nothing weird in it. He shrugged, only believing her a little on this as he took a bite. He took his time, to savour it. He frowned a little as he tried to get what it was made of. “I taste cranberries and chocolate and... I don’t know what? What do you think George?” he asked his brother who took one and bit in it. He too took his time but could not identify the secret flavour. It became a game for everyone to guess, each and everyone at the table picking one and biting in it. All sorts of flavours came on: peach, lime, banana, berries even weird ones at the end, said more as a just, like troll dust or unicorn hair. Finally Molly tasted it and said it was pear. All of a sudden, everyone agreed, thinking they were stupid not having found out before.
Fred returned to his seat next to Fay. “Very good your muffins.” he said as he took a knife and cut himself a part of the log.
